Films You Should Have Seen In College But Didn't

Classic films and best movies of all time

What movie changed your life in college? The Dude was an inspiration of chill vibes in The Big Lebowski when I saw it my freshman year. We crowded on the floor, beds and small stuffed chair in our friend's dorm room, huddled around a TV/VCR combo. It was a moment of clarity when it came to what was effortlessly cool. Somehow, he was the James Dean for my group.

The list of movies I wanted to see started growing, I found out about French New Wave and Dogma and the good Film Noir and Humphrey Bogarts. I watched Bad Lieutenant and Dancer in the Dark, The Big Sleep and Night of the Hunter. The more I learned about these classics of cinema, the more I learned what I liked. And the more I read about great films, the longer my list of movies I needed to see grew. And it grows and grows.
